MY BLOG HAS MOVED!

HOORAY!

My blog has finally moved to a wordpress.org format. The way I have been hoping for sometime. After hours of work and money spent, it is now located at mitchellfranzphoto.com/blog, but will also be accessible from mitchellfranz.com and selecting blog. Soon also at blog.mitchellfranz.com. But for the moment it is at here or manually type it in, mitchellfranzphoto.com/blog.

Thank you for bearing with me during the transition period and this will be the final resting place for the blog so bookmark, subscribe and all that jazz.

Cheers,

Mitchell

Boeheim’s 800th Win | Syracuse 75, Albany 43

Two weeks I ago, one of my favorite professors Dr. Mason or “Doc” as we call him, let me use one of his photo passes for the Carrier Dome and what was suppose to be Boeheim’s 800th win with Syracuse University. Syracuse beat Albany 75-43 in regulation and everyone was excited and rowdy all at the same time. I am glad that I was able to be there to share the special moment with the fans, band, team, Boeheim’s family and Boeheim. It was a cool experience to have and I cherish it.

I also have to thank Sue Edson and the wonderful SU Athletics Media Relations staff (Pete, Susie, Lindsay, etc.) for all of her hard work and allowing us access to the games. Pete is in charge of basketball and he is great.

To the pictures we go though…

Today I had a shoot with a magazine that I can’t say. I had a great group of people to work with including the staff and models. Everyone did great. Also a big thanks to Critz Farms in Cazenovia and Mr. Critz for allowing us his business as our location and for his help. Hold on…there is more info to come.

The issue has not run yet, but will be printing very soon. It is set to print and distribute right before the Thanksgiving break…roughly the end of November.

Sunday with the Strong Family & Friends

A few weeks back I was fortunate to experience a great weekend with several friends. First we went to church at Eastern Hills Bible Church, which was fabulous, then we headed to one of the friend’s house for lunch and visiting with friends. After lunch and some good rich conversation we ended up at a nearby lake which was also a blast.

I have neglected the blog and I am going to try to be better, but I just get behind and then it builds up.

So anyway here are a few images…

Living Magazine Cover and Spread

Photographer Alexx Henry and his team show you how a magazine might look in the not-so-distant future with the October cover and spread for Outside Magazine. In this video, Alexx Henry takes you through the creation of the Living portrait of the triathlete Chris Lieto photographed using the revolutionary Red One cinema camera and the 5d Mark II. Check it out…
